 If a user installs screen (yum install screen) and starts it from within
 the Terminal activity, the erase key appears to stop working. Doesn't seem
 explicitly tied to the $TERM variable, and leaving screen "fixes" the
 problem. This only occurs in the Terminal activity: starting screen from a
 console or remotely (over ssh) works without incident.

 Tested on 653 (didn't try screen in Terminal on 650).
