 We just received our g1g1 build 650 and it is consistently exhibiting the
 exact problem identified by the original poster (philipmac).  I'm willing
 to test Bernie's fix, but want to make sure I don't disable the olpc in
 the course of testing.  If I understand the procedure, it is to:

 1. Copy the file kernel-2.6.22-20071220.bernie14.olpc.0e089c0f.i586.rpm to
 /home/olpc
 2. In the terminal app, execute the commands:
     rpm -ivh kernel-2.6.22-20071220.bernie14.olpc.0e089c0f.i586.rpm
     cp -a /boot/* /versions/boot/current/boot/
     reboot

 Please confirm the above.  If the patched kernel proves unusable, what is
 the rollback procedure?  Thanks.
