 #5655 is a case where new objects are being created even without a keep
 button in the interface.

 I need to find the activity which was passing create_jobject=False to
 Activity.__init__.  If that's not kosher for non-Journal applications, I
 can easily fix Pippy-generated activities -- and Terminal, or whatever
 other activity I first saw that keyword argument used.
