New description:

 While talking to Lennart, the Avahi maintainer, he suggested that we might
 want to upgrade the version of Avahi we have. I don't think we want to
 import the new upstream version wholesale for Update 1, but we should
 consider applying important bugfixes. In particular, he recommended the
 following patches strongly:

 We already have changesets 1493 and 1496 applied in our avahi package.
 1503 should be irrelevant to as as we don't use autoipd. That leaves 1524

Comment:

 Why do you think we not pull in the upstream wholesale, inquiring minds
 would like to know?  That is often less risk than backports.

 If we're to do this, we have to move on it immediately.
