 That thing about the X key is for an old version of the firmware.

 If you want to play with OFW, you have to get a developer key.  The reason
 is because access to OFW gives you complete control over the machine, so
 the OLPC security is ineffective if you have access to OFW.

 Here is how to get a developer key:

 http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Developer_Key

 Once you have a developer key, you can reflash the firmware from the ok
 prompt.  Download the new firmware image onto a USB key from:

 http://dev.laptop.org/pub/firmware/q2d07/

 Then type:

    ok flash u:\q2d07.rom

 (your battery must be charged and the AC adapter must be plugged in)
