 Jamil - sorry for the delay replying. I was out of station with little
 internet access for the last 7 days

 Well, FWIW, I see no problems with Jamil taking over the BN (Bengali)
 track of OLPC l10n. Rather, I would like to apply for BN_IN (Bengali
 India) track for OLPC. There is already a request for the same
 [http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/5173].

 This is also in line with the strategy followed for GNOME, Firefox, KDE et
 al. (independant locales for BN and BN_IN)
