 Not a blocker, since #5197 has been fixed.  But it would be nice to
 address for update.1; we need to rebuild mtd-utils from source on xs-
 dev.laptop.org and pilgrim.laptop.org and patch pilgrim to generate a
 properly-hard-linked /run tree.
