Comment:

 Actually I think we are fine with this instruction using rdate in
 combination with the sugar-control-panel to set the correct time.

 http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar_Control_Panel#Timezone

 This will result in the correct CET, EST value when you invoke the date
 command, please try and reopen when it does not work for you.
