 ok.... I think now I understand the problem is but not quite sure the
 proper fix.  When a text looks like the representation of a fraction
 number, returning the fraction is the right thing?  Or, when a fraction
 number is being stored, do we convert the number to a Float and look at
 the decimal places and store the truncated string based on the decimal
 places?
