 .. and I don't understand why.  The .mo file that ships with the .xo
 contains the right strings, but stracing Pippy shows that it never looks
 for them and comes up in English regardless of $LANG.  I do:

 }}}

 which I thought was sufficient?

 Sayamindu, any ideas?
