 sugar.  One possibility is to use the pulldown menu that you get when you
 mouse-over the XO person inside the doughnut.  "Reboot", "Shutdown",
 "Disable Power Savings", and "Register".  It's not the ideal location, but
 it's nicer than having people drop to a shell, and I'd imagine it would
 not be difficult to implement.

 I'd be happy to write this patch.  Marco, would you accept it if I did?
