 While I have just tested the patch extensively and it seems fine by
 itself, there is one rather ugly issue. (I'll attach the current stuff
 which also adds changes to the icon test in sugar.)

 The problem is that the pixbuf returned by the engine is leaked by pygtk.
 I have filed an upstream bug about this at
 http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502871. Pygtk adds a second
 reference even though the pixbuf already has a reference that belongs to
 the caller.
 (The bug is already fixed in pygtk svn.)
