 It doesn't make sense to duplicate a file without the users explicit
 intent (especially video), and it also doesn't make sense to change the
 type of the file that is opened. It seems that if you have to embed it in
 a project, then you should take the approach of supporting it as an
 importable format and not support directly opening them.
