Comment(by bert):

 Suppose Etoys would not modify the original entry (which indeed is a bug
 and I'll fix asap) - what exactly is special about "opening"? Opening an
 image in Read and quitting Read would also save the Read instance. How is
 that different from an Etoys instance?
