 It is a simple change, about 10 lines of easy GTK and one additional
 graphic.  Extremely low risk.

 I implemented it in my stream-tubes branch, which fixes #4741 but is
 broken by #5402.  I can make another release with the shortcut key and not
 stream tubes.  This would mean that v10 is a downgrade from v9, but that's
 not terrible.
