 Tested a WRT54GL v1.1 with firmware v4.30.7

 It is configured at channel 9 with WEP encryption and keys generated via a
 passphrase.

 A B4 machine with build 643 and wlan fw 5.110.20.p42 connects without any
 issues.

 An MP machine with build 647 and wlan fw 5.110.20.p42 cannot negotiate
 encryption via NM, it connects fine using iwconfig. (known bug for
 647-649)

 B.t.w. it takes more time for the AP to appear in the neighborhood view if
 it is configures in channel 9 as opposed to channels 1,6,11

 That behavior is also obvious with my Windows XP laptop.
