 Eben, are you sure about this? It could cause some problems with palettes
 not disappearing when you expect it. I don't think it would enhance the
 palette interaction that much. All buttons have a default action. Left-
 clicking means that you want to perform that action and, in principle, are
 done with the button. Therefore I think that dismissing the palette is
 fine. Maybe we can add a timeout to let it pop-up again after a little
 while. Together with the patch I put in #3608 this might be the best
 solution.
