Comment:

 Taking it since it's my fault...

 So here I tend to think we need two different behaviors for Icon and
 CanvasIcon. Icon should shrink and CanvasIcon should expand (by default at
 least, we can add properties to make it configurable).

 Eben does it make sense? Icon is used in the toolbars and we don't want
 the toolbars to get larger if you add a badge (which doesn't fit in the
 icon canvas) to an toolbar button. CanvasIcon is used in free form views
 like the home.
