It's what IE has done for years. There, file extensions always take
priority.
This makes sense anyway. The server is unlikely to have all the client-
side things installed, and thus unlikely to have a correct MIME databse.
Unknown MIME types are a related problem for firefox/gecko/mozilla. When
the server returns something like application/x-language-fortran, the
browser stupidly refuses to display the text.
