 I have several similar experiences before, but can't reproduce now right
 away. (B4 OS557 Q2C25) To me it looks more likely a timing problem as this
 once triggered when I sweap over very fast. Slow down or change the
 starting point sometimes helps. It seems that the controller or driver (?)
 thinks my finger is actually sweap back and forth instead of a connective
 forward. (any adaptive threshold here?) I'm wondering this could be
 improved by adjusting some timing or distance threshold?

 ps. playing around by tapping fast enough at two different points on
 touchpad alternatively with two fingers, you will see the cursor sometimes
 goes back and forth but sometimes move along one direction. I used to use
 track point so not sure what situation should be normal.
