 It could be that #901 reappeared with the new mesh frame format introduced
 in firmware version 5.110.15.p1.  If that's the case, the following must
 be true:

  1.  The AP is doing lazy-WDS (automatically learning about WDS nodes in
 the vicinity)
  2.  Association succeeds (because management frames would be unaffected
 by this problem) but other traffic (e.g. ping) will fail.

 According to the [http://www.buffalotech.com/support/getfile/?WHR-
 HP-G54-Manual-v1.7-web.pdf user guide for that AP] WDS must be manually
 configured, so 1. does should not be true.  But the Linksys WRT54G does
 lazy-WDS and does not mention it in the documentation.

 Could you try the test mentioned in the description for #901 ?
 Make sure you reboot the AP before the test to start with a clean state.
