Comment:

 Please refer to the rollover design in #2903, which provides sufficient
 functionality without requiring a persistent element in the interface
 which takes up valuable screen real estate.  While it might be slightly
 less direct, and arguably slower with respect to the particular example
 noted, the example is really an edge case that requires a better layout
 than a common experience while browsing.  I don't think we need to cater
 to heavily toward this type of circumstance.
