 Q2C24 renders B2 systems inoperable - the screen stays dark, and there is
 no possibility of interactive control. I know the fix for this; Q2C25 is
 forthcoming. Q2C24 has been removed from the distribution site and is
 hereby deprecated.

 If you have a serial port, you can recover as follows:

 <power-on>
 start typing 'i' on the serial port until you get the ok prompt
 erase any extra 'i's.
 ok  here to cpu-state
 ok  resume

 If you don't have a serial port, you will have to open up the machine and
 add one. You could instead add a 5-pin debricking connector, but the
 regular serial connector is easier and, in conjunction with the above
 recovery recipe, can get you to the point where you can reload new
 firmware using the normal methods.
