Comment:

 I'm thinking to something similar to what intltool does with .desktop
 files. At pot generation time bundlebuilder would add translatable strings
 from activity.info to the .pot. At .xo generation time bundlebuilder would
 extract the translated strings from the .po(s) and generate activity.linfo
 (as specced by http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Activity_bundles ). I think
 someone mentioned a python po parser.

 The reason to go through .po for this is that it's what the Fedora
 translations system understand. Also having all the translations in a
 single file has obvious advantages.
