 The library sidebar should be dynamic, with js to generate the categories
 and html based on the available library directories.  Some of this is
 already in the existing sidebar html, but could be abstracted out to read
 from an automatically generated js file.  see newsidebar.html for an
 example of sidebar.js and sidebar-new.js:
