 We should add a couple of convenience shortcuts to the volume and
 brightness keys:

  - ctrl-volumeup : max volume
  - ctrl-volumedown : mute
  - ctrl-brightnessup : full brightness/color
  - ctrl-brightnessdown : backlight off/b&w

 Essentially, the modifiers jump to the extremes, skipping all intermediate
 values.
