 From talks with eben, the new news reader should behave thusly:

  * Each separate instance of a news reader has access to, but does not
 subscribe by default to, all of the feeds subscribed in all of the news
 reader sessions
  * A "saved session" (journal entry) consists of a list of urls that were
 subscribed in the current session.
  * When adding a feed in the news reader, there are three options:  typing
 in a new url, selecting from other subscribed feeds in the database, and
 selecting from a pre-selected list of default feeds.  (The ui will be a
 combobox)
  * in a sharing environment, the currently-subscribed feeds are shared
 between all participants.
  * Any participant can add a feed to the current session, and all
 participants will also see that new feed.
  * Participants can not see feeds that other users have in their database
 but are not subscribed in the current session. (privacy)
