Comment:

 Can someone on the implementation end give us an idea of how simple this
 is to modify?  If it's trivial we should get a friendly design into trial
 3.  Otherwise, perhaps FRS should be the target, or even later.

 In any case, I need to know if it's worth expending the effort on the
 design at this point.
