Comment:

 Code changes looks good to me. Reassigning to Eben to get approval on the
 user experience changes.

 Eben, this patch implement the following behavior:

 1 Open the Write activity.
 2 Open the Web activity.
 3 Close the Web activity.

 Now Write is active only in the sense that switching to activity zoom
 level would display it (pending). Though it's not displayed as active on
 the Mesh/Friends view and the activity itself does not know to be active.

 4 Switch to the activity zoom level

 Now Write is really active.

 It's tricky to explain, hope it made sense. Dan feel free to correct or
 clarify. Comment 7 explains pretty well why marking another activity
 active just after close might be bad. In general the pending/active
 distinction seems good to have to me.
