 I can confirm that Gabble (the released version) can connect to
 jabber.laptop.org and send private messages to my collabora.co.uk XMPP
 account. Given morgs' log, I doubt there is an OLPC-specific bug causing
 inability to connect to j.l.o. If you can reproduce this problem please
 attach logs with GABBLE_DEBUG=all LM_DEBUG=net PRESENCESERVICE_DEBUG=yes
 exported.

 The server config bug (symptoms would be: the mesh view works but
 activities don't) is filed as <https://dev.laptop.org/ticket/2694>.
