Comment:

 This is not a problem in Write, but in the tubes layer (large messages are
 not broken up in smaller ones that are accepted by the XMPP server). The
 collabora guys have a fix for this in one of their branches, but as an API
 change was involved, it wouldn't hit trial-2.
