Discussion links show up distinctly different for me, though not blue vs
red. Visited links are indeed gray rather than a higher-contrast color.
Neither is a critical or high-priority bug, but they are important
usability issues to fix. Are there others? Changing link colors in the
skin's css is a minor fix; not in itself a reason to change the skin
altogether.
I'm willing to consider other default skins, but Monobook isn't ideal.
This one is both cute and decent, though as you say it has bugs. Please
continue to file them against the skin at [[talk:wiki]], even if you file
them in trac.
I'm not sure if Simon on trac is the skin author; but will see if we can
assign skin bugs to the latter.
