Comment:

 The root of the problem here is the lack of basis for comparison.  With
 only two items in the popup, there is no way to decide which is the
 selected one.  Of course, a popup option list doesn't make much sense for
 only two options anyway; a toggle button would be better suited.  We
 designed the specification for sharing with a popup because in future
 versions there will be many more selectable possibilities:  private,
 neighborhood, friends, class, family, etc.

 I understand your desire to associate the black with the rollover state.
 On the other hand, we've been using a black background for all types of
 palettes, popup menus, fullscreen dialogs, etc. in order to make them
 stand out strongly against the background of the various zoom levels and
 activities, and even the toolbars and frame.    I think this is a non-
 issue once there are additional options in the menu which make this
 clearer.
