 this appears to be sugar/dbus related rather than xorg. I managed to get
 sugar up and running under twm from a root session. When running from
 .xinitrc and xinit with exec sugar I was crashed out with DBusException:
 org.freedesktop.DBus.Python.dbus.DBusException:
 File "/usr/share/sugar/services/presence/PresenceService.py
 , ...

 With a few differing errrors on varying lines with what looks like
 references to registerservice call...
