 My B2 unit, serial number SHF706002A7,  does not power off properly after
 reflashing the firmware.  Instead of powering off, the screen goes blank,
 the power light stays on, and a hissing sound comes from the system.

 The hissing sound goes away when I unplug the (NiMH) battery, but the
 power light does not go off until I unplug both the battery and the AC
 cord.

 This is with Q2C01 firmware, including EC version b87.

 We need a coherent and reliable way to reset the EC after reflashing.
