#241: initrd dies if quiet is not set.

Component: distro | Keywords:

With quiet off, the initrd checks to see if /dev/boot can be mounted, and
if not prints a message with a ls -l of it in the message. The most
likely cause for /dev/boot to not be mountable is for it to not exist yet.
When we ls -l a file that doesn't exist, it returns false, and so the
 entire script dies.

This prevents any sort of booting from a USB drive without quiet on.
