Many/most of these are no-brainers - obviously, dropping support for
hardware we don't have and can never have requires no further thought.
I do want to see a proposal of the "brainers" going to the "devel" list.
Saying "I can't imagine why" someone might want to do something (like nfs,
which has been an essential part of many people's environments for
decades) does not reassure me much: people are inventive, and may have
ideas in mind that we haven't thought of.
Andres, would you please prepare a list and send it out?
