 There are actually two issues here:

 1 The terminal is not focused when started.
 2 You can't focus the terminal by clicking on it until you open another
 window and come back to terminal.

 I checked in a fix for 2 and it's in sugar 0.58 rpm. I think 1 is way less
 critical and we should delay to BTest-2.
