 When I click on the NetworkManager icon I get a list of available SSIDs
 but when I click on one nothing happens. The sugar 'border' goes away as
 soon as I move the pointer over the list of networks. Each network
 highlights as I hover over it but clicking achieves nothing.

 Running iwconfig manually to set the ESSID works, and the machine picks up
 an IPv6 address correctly from RA.
