Comment:

 This is a reasonable request, but this feature was intended for a
 different purpose than it is being used.  For a real reset, please hold
 down the power button for 4-5 seconds, and the system will turn off
 completely.  Since the EC reset button won't be accessible in complete
 systems anyway, I'm going to close this.
