Comment:

 The panel has a 6 bit interface. The 6-7-6 is just used for a minor
 improvement when antialiasing is enabled.  Test thus far show that color
 mapping is correct. If anyone sees evidence to the contrary, please
 provide it!

 One possibility is that the system this was reported on had antialiasing
 enabled (i.e. the DCON mode register was 0x69 instead of being 0x29).  If
 that's the case, the lines may well have been "smoothed out" of the image
 by the antialiasing algorithm.  If that's the case, that's proper
 behavior, not a bug.  Reassigning to jg and sugar.
