 Note that upgrading the bios to the latest OFW fixed this issue.

 Obviously we want people to keep their bios upgraded; however, since this
 only affects ATest boards, and people are very unlikely to be using ps/2
 keyboards and mice; we might want to just change our module loading script
 to refuse to load the i8042 module if it detects an older version of
 LB/OFW.  BTest-1 boards should already ship w/ newer OFW.
