 With regard to firmware verification, I have done some testing and what I
 found out is that since
 the device never comes up on a bad firmware image, the driver enters an
 infinite reset loop as can
 be seen by the second comment from dwmw2.

 I've capped the amount of resets attempts to 10, which causes the driver
 to simply bail out in case of a bad firmware.

 I see no need for further firmware verification.

 Have been unable to cause the oops on comment #1, though.
