#285: Wireless 31.02 Firmware w/Build 141 Wireless HAMMERS USB Bus
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 Reporter: mfoster | Owner: mbletsas
     Type: defect | Status: new
 Priority: blocker | Milestone: BTest-1
Component: wireless | Keywords:
----------------------+-----------------------------------------------------
 Hi, Folks,

We're seeing a nasty bug where the wireless chip absolutely hammers the
USB bus with traffic, and this continues ~forever. When we add the
firmware to the Build 141 image, running with the old 31.02 firmware, the
wireless device has traffic occuring every 6-20 '''microseconds!'''. The
user-visible symptom of this problem is that udev will hang for a few
minutes. Even after it exits, however, however, the "hammering" traffic
 continues indefinitely.

This will certainly increase the challenge of programming the onboard
wireless flash chip, at an absolute minimum. Note that if the
/lib/firmware file is renamed, this won't happen.

USB Analyzer log (terminated at 40MB while udev is spinning):
