Comment:

 Well, it's a failure mode if we accidentally erase the block -- but we
 have to treat that as a special case anyway.

 We have fixed this in the current version of the FPGA -- at least for 2048
 -byte-page flash. I haven't verified that it's sane for 512-byte-page
 flash too.
