Comment:

 Yup.  I got 4 bricks before the B2 build.  They were green and almost
 identical to the final ones, and the plastic is too long.  We've checked
 lots of power supplies and never seen the problem again.
 You clearly ended up with one of the four.

 A pocket knife or razor blade will do great at fixing.

 I'm going to close this one.
