 Eben,

 I attached a few files.

 olpc-48-1.png is the grid containing the actual icons. The canvas of each
 icon is 96x96, but the cursor area is only 48x48. olpc.cursortheme
 contains the icons identifiers (it's xml but should be easy enough to read
 and map to the actual icons). olpc-48-hotspot.png contains one black point
 for each icon to indicate the cursor hotspot.

 As you can see a lot of icon identifiers are just silly and applications
 don't use them. We can leave these blank. For animations, we should put
 the various frames in different images, for example olpc-48-2.png for the
 second frame.

 If you could edit the grids images directly and attach them to the ticket,
 that would be cool.
