> You should not need to use a keyboard at all to update the firmware on a
BTest system. The upgrade procedure is really quite reliable, if the
files are in the proper place. You may have the "mass_storage/removable"
problem described in the autoreinstallation

The usb key has the files in the correct place.
I'ved tried with a couple of different usb keys.
> Could you please try a different USB keyboard? There are a few keyboards
that do not work properly (the ones we know about have been fixed in later
versions).
I've tried a few different keyboards, still the same thing.
(doesn't seem to like Dell keyboards)
The other laptop we have, had the exact same problem with the keys
but upgraded okay. So it looks like thats most likely just a firmware
problem.
I'll try again tonight.
> It does sound like the keyboard/embedded controller on your unit
probably has trouble. Lindsay Petrillose can help with logistics on a
replacement; we'll likely ask for its return for failure analysis.
I'll let you know how we go upgrading it tomorrow morning.
