Comment:

 Failure analysis has been completed on this unit.  The problem is that the
 gamepad contacts could "splay" and touch a 12V line running near the
 gamepad.  When this happened, the 12V blows away the corresponding EC
 pins.  The layout has been changed for B2 to prevent this, and in
 addition, the mechanical contacts on the gamepad have been redesigned to
 prevent this from reoccurring.
