 I'm noticing that the coaxial power connector on my laptop gets rather
 warm, suggesting that it's got a bit of electrical resistance.  Given that
 it's doing this when new, with a couple of years worth of corrosion and
 wear on the plug and jack this could turn into a major reliability
 problem.  We may want to look into what's going on here.
